New distributor for Borough Wines!

“Giving back” will be available from more wine glasses around the country thanks to Borough Wine’s new distribution agreement with Beverage Bureau.

Borough Wine, the charitable wine brand produced by a collaboration of donors from within the NZ wine industry, is pleased to announce its new distribution agreement with Beverage Bureau – aiming to fill more wine glasses and reach more supporters throughout the North Island of NZ.

Borough Wines Chairman Mark Unwin is elated with the announcement: “Historically we’ve had amazing support from our local customers in Marlborough and around the top of the South Island, but we’ve always wanted to expand beyond our region and bring our wines and our message to more people. Ultimately, our tamariki are the winners, because every bottle of Borough Wine you buy supports the Graeme Dingle Foundation’s (GDF) development programmes for our children and youth.

“We’re delighted to be working with Nick and Anna at Beverage Bureau and joining their portfolio of boutique brands. They are really supportive of what we are all about and it is great to have such fantastic operators on board to help share our story with the wine trade and to help achieve our fundraising objectives.”

Beverage Bureau is a small distribution business run by Nick and Anna Hewitt, that distributes a range of fantastic NZ and overseas brands around the North Island of New Zealand. Nick is excited to be a part of the Borough Wines story saying:

“Anna and I are honoured, humbled and thrilled to have the opportunity to help contribute to the remarkable Graeme Dingle Foundation and its incredible accomplishments for the young people of New Zealand. When Katy approached Beverage Bureau and shared the positive impact the foundation has on supporting and growing our youth, we knew that we had to be part of the project and help support it.

“As parents ourselves, we understand that our children are not only the centre of our world but also the torchbearers for the future. Investing in our youth is paramount not only for their individual growth and potential but also for their own future and for generations to come.

“A huge driving factor for Beverage Bureau is to help ensure that there is a sustainable revenue stream for the Graeme Dingle Foundation to continue its invaluable work.  Beverage Bureau is very positive and generally excited about the future and collaborating with Borough Wines to assist to enhance the sales of Borough Wines and ultimately grow the Foundation.”

The Borough brand comprises a Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris and Pinot Noir Rosé all from the 2023 vintage, with a Pinot Noir to be released shortly.

And the impact is tangible. To date, all profits from sales of Borough wines have been paid in dividends to the Graeme Dingle Foundation’s youth development programs, with $150,000 donated in 2023.

GDF Marlborough Manager Kelvin Watt says: “Today’s fast-paced technological change impacts on many levels within society; from education to employment, from communication to recreation. Our young people need to learn skills and strategies to develop into resilient people who can cope and thrive amongst this ongoing evolution and disruption. They need to learn how to work together, understand other perspectives, collaborate for mutual success, and how to bounce back from setbacks. The Graeme Dingle Foundation programmes support the development of these skills and values, so our youth can overcome the challenges they will inevitably face in life.”
